Proposed Community Bank's Capital Raising Effort Underway - Local Business and Community Leaders to Comprise Bank Board

BELLEVILLE, Ill,  Sept. 20, 2005: Bank of Belleville (in organization) has received regulatory approvals to raise the capital required to open the new community bank. Kevin Pesko, president of the proposed community bank, is working closely with the bank's proposed board of directors and management team to raise an estimated $8 million in initial capital via a stock offering.

"We received our approvals from the regulatory agencies and are ready to launch this new venture," said Pesko. "Our core strength is that the business and credit decisions will be made locally by experienced business people and community leaders. Our board and our management team are composed of people who live and work in our community and understand our local economic climate."

Joining Pesko on the bank's management team are Ron Stephens as chief credit officer and Jean Waeltz as chief operations officer. Stephens has more than 19 years in the financial services industry with a focus on credit oversight and commercial lending. Waeltz has more than 20 years experience in bank management, including bank operations, compliance and mortgage lending. Also joining the bank is Angie Eckart as executive assistant. Eckart has 10 years financial services experience and was most recently a senior commercial loan assistant.

Bank of Belleville (in organization) will be a full-service community bank focused on providing relationship banking to small and mid-sized businesses, their owners and management teams, as well as entrepreneurs and local residents. The bank will be located in the Richland Plaza III at 720 West Main Street in Belleville and will offer the conveniences of an ATM, drive-up windows and a courier service for business clients. Pending final approvals, Pesko anticipates opening the Bank of Belleville (in organization) by year-end.
