12/22/2022: Bank work advances in Edwardsville

After originally being planned to be a 4 Hands Brewing Company location, construction continues on the Old Illinois Bell Telephone building at 119 S. Main St. in Edwardsville, which will eventually be the Bank of Madison County.

The future new location will replace the Bank of Madison County’s current temporary facility at 100 N. Main St.

Bank of Madison County is a division of Bank of Belleville, which is a locally owned and controlled, independent community bank in St. Clair County.

There is no exact timeline for when the new location opens, but signs around the construction site say it is coming soon.
